NewIntro to Cross Country (Students Grades 5-6)Youth Sports / EnrichmentThis is our ninth year to offer this opportunity for 5th and 6th graders. Practices will be held right after school on Sept. 12th, 19th, 26th and the Meet is Oct. 3rd. The practices would be running a small loop and then getting longer and longer up to a mile for the race. We will be playing other interactive games as well. For the mile race each finisher would get an award. Kids would need to bring a water bottle, a good pair of shoes, and comfortable clothes to run in. For questions or inquiries, please contact Coach Marschel at michael.marschel@isd485.org. NewRobotics (Students Grades 4-6)Youth Sports / EnrichmentStudents participating in robotics work in small teams collaboratively to design, build, program, and drive robots. The students will then compete at local VEX IQ Tournaments with other teams from the area, for awards, trophies, and chances to go to the State and Worlds Tournament. This is an excellent opportunity for students to enhance their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills through this exciting hands-on experience. This year's game is Mix & Match! Click link to see how this year's game is played: https://youtu.be/RN-UyJbe_yg?feature=shared Practices are held on Mondays from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the MS/HS Commons and begins Monday September 29 running through March 7. There will be opportunities to compete at local area VEX IQ tournaments on Saturdays, with those dates to be determined (typically 3-4 per season starting in December). Additional practices may be added as needed. Class registrations are limited per grade level. Once each grade level cap is reached, students will be placed on a waiting list and contacted by the coaches if a spot becomes available. Registration Deadline: 9/15Fall 2025

On My Own (Students Grades 3-5)Youth Sports / EnrichmentNewA staying home alone class will be conducted for boys and girls in grades 3 through 5 who are now or plan to stay home on their own. Topics to be discussed include: emergency situations, first aid, checklist before you stay alone the first time, kitchen safety, fire safety, making a 911 call, internet safety and more. We will make a home fire escape plan, review questions to ask with parents before staying home alone, and many more activities. Includes a light snack.Fall 2025
